Work commenced in November 2007 and ostensibly involves the expansion of the centre to occupy the site of a 1980’s concrete office block, facilitating the construction of a modern, high quality stone and glass illuminated street façade.

Everything has been done in empathy with the adjacent historic façades populating the surrounding City Centre conservation area. 

The extensive remodelling programme comprises two phases, the first units having already been completed and occupied during summer 2008.

DML’s primary role is the supply and installation of Pilkington Planar™ Structural Glazing, entrances and windows to the St. Charles Arcade, along with stone rainscreen cladding held in place by a proprietary support grid, complemented by decorative powder coated aluminium entablature feature cladding.
