Initially commissioned to design, manufacture and install an array of architectural metalwork requirements to the main build façade encompassing the Mall entrances with fully automated swing doors and frameless glazing, the scope of works also extended to a continuous bullnose feature with integral louver grill, to satisfy the Landlords' uncompromising design concept.

Our unfaltering on-site performance in consistently both meeting deadlines and the stringent quality demanded, was recognised and rewarded by subsequently being appointed to undertake the tenant fit outs comprising retail entrances and glazed shopfronts for familiar names including Costa Coffee, Giraffe, Rush Hair and Waterstones, along with Phase 3 of the programme principally relating to the Debenhams development incorporating the library and the gym.

This dramatic looking construction was ostensibly a total façade comprising glazed curtain walling and copper "shingle" cladding with a high level projecting canopy and soffit panels mounted on to secondary cantilever steelwork, all supported by a bespoke tapering buttress post and collectively creating an attractive feature point at the front of the building.

Our expertise proved absolutely invaluable in designing and installing a complicated bespoke louver enclosure to the rooftop plant room boasting "intrinsic" flexibility to allow future expansion of plant through the roof.  Furthermore DML provided all decorative balustrading to the rooftop terrace and a heavy duty safety rail to ensure secure, protected access to the roof and plant area.
