The
Waterjet can machine
complex parts from
a diverse range
of materials including
plastics, metals,
glass, ceramics
and composites,
to tolerances of
between ±0.001” (0.025mm)
and ±0.005” (0.127mm)
depending on
material
thickness and
application.
It
can also cut extremely
hard,
reflective and
non-conductive
materials.
Waterjet
cutting
is
ideal
for
short
run
part-production,
just
in
time
(JIT)
manufacturing,
tooling
and
prototype
part
development.
The
initial
finish
it
achieves
is
so
smooth
that
the
need
for
secondary
machining
is
virtually
eliminated.
What’s
more, because it
requires no tool
changes or complex
fixturing, set-up
times are reduced
by at least 50%,
meaning finished
parts can
be produced from
initial drawings
in minutes.
